Week 1 at The Pop Topic

For my first article, I wrote about the New Jersey coronavirus lockdown ordered by Governor Phil Murphy. Amid much confusion over what "essentials" really entails, I also outlined some of the essential businesses listed on the New Jersey state website, and I directed readers to the source for further information.


In light of the recent pandemic, I decided to go with something a little more light-hearted for my second story. As a long time fan of the band All Time Low, I wrote a story about their scheduled release date for their new album "Wake Up Sunshine." The album comes out, as scheduled, on April 3rd, 2020.


The coronavirus has clearly caused a crisis in the healthcare, the economy, and mental health industries, but along with those are the reports of domestic and sexual violence or abuse. Reports spiked in China in February, and now American hotlines are saying there has been a surge of reports in the United States as well. Check out the full story at the link below.
